In 1965 Episode 6 formed in London and were regulars at the Marquee Club. They had limited success with 9 singles and collaborated with David Bowie. Later Ian Gillan and Roger Glover left the band to form Deep Purple in 1969.
Dave Allen became one of Britain’s most loved observational and controversial comedians. He ran two long running BBC TV series, The Dave Allen Show as well as Dave Allen at Large. He was a comedic influence to Howard Stern and Adam Sandler. Dave Allen received the British Comedy Lifetime Achievement Award in 1996.
